The Snow Dragon is Now on Amazon

The Kindle version of The Snow Dragon is now available on Amazon. The paperback should be ready by the end of September, provided the latest proof, which should arrive next week, is good. I am starting to organize for the third book of the series, Mentor's Mind, while I edit the second book, Guardian's Challenge.

After that, my plans are to develop a youth steampunk mystery series, The Perplexities of Prentice Peyton. I have not forgotten the editing tips, just been a little busy. Look for those coming soon.

Coming: Blog Posts on Editing Your Own Manuscript

I'm working on a series about editing your own manuscript. It will include aspects of the difference between editing and rewriting; pitfalls in tense and POV; mechanics; and continuity. It will also cover the why's and why nots of editing your own work.

I will be calling on my experience as an Associate Editor for for the past three and a half  years. I hope to launch it starting next Monday. Once it's completed, I plan to publish it in ebook format. It should turn out to be a helpful handbook to use in your editing process. I look forward to your feedback.

My Newly Created Website is Live

My new site is up at! Go take a look and let me know what you think—especially if there are any broken links, typos, misplaced items, or if I just plain made a mess of it. It's the first site I've designed with Dreamweaver. Nothing fancy, but hopefully accessible and useful.

Working on rebuilding my web site and learning Dreamweaver at the same time! Watch for an update when it goes live!

My first post is the only writing of my own I have done today. That means I really have to buckle down the next two days to catch up and stay on schedule with the sequel to The Snow Dragon! You might not hear from me for a few days.

I plan to keep my readers up to date on my activities here, as well as promote and review books I have read. In the meantime, be sure to visit to read (or listen to) The Worlds Below (syndicated) and The Snow Dragon (current), as well as checking out all the other wonderful authors.

Good journey!
